There is never a dull moment with us.Group/DivisionThe Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA and second headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI provides legal guidance to further KLA’s strategic objectives and protect and preserve the legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation of the Company. With specific expertise in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and intellectual property; the LCO offers strategic legal counsel that is informed by a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives and expertise in the laws and regulations relevant to the business worldwide.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsStrategic Trade Counsel: The lead legal advisor on international trade compliance matters across Israel and the EMEA region, helping the business navigate complex regulatory environments and achieve strategic objectives.Risk Management & Compliance Leadership: Identify, assess, and mitigate import/export, sanctions, customs, and trade-compliance risks, developing practical legal solutions and robust compliance frameworks.Expert Legal Advice: Partner with senior leaders, product teams, sales, operations, engineering, and compliance professionals to provide clear, business-focused guidance on global trade regulations.Policy & Program Development: Design and enhance trade compliance policies, procedures, controls, and training programs to support a strong culture of compliance.Regulatory & Government Affairs: Manage interactions with government authorities, licensing agencies, and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead complex compliance initiatives, investigations, audits, and risk assessments, collaborating with stakeholders across legal, compliance, and business functions.M&A and Business Transformation: Advise on trade compliance aspects of acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic corporate initiatives.Global Trade Strategy: Partner with the Global Trade Compliance team to shape and implement compliance strategies that support business growth while minimizing legal and regulatory risk.Thought Leadership: Deliver practical training, communicate emerging regulatory developments, and act as a trusted subject matter expert for international trade law across the organization.International Collaboration: Engage with colleagues and stakeholders globally, with occasional travel to offices and business locations worldwide.Why This Role?Influence high-impact legal and business decisions across a global organization.Shape trade compliance strategy in a dynamic, international environment.Work directly with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.Address complex global regulatory challenges at the intersection of law, technology, and international business.Minimum QualificationsUniversity Degree in LawExtensive experience in international trade law.Expertise in trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, customs, and cross-border regulatory matters.Strong knowledge of customs and trade laws in the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, and the Europe region is highly desirable.Ability to operate in a global, cross‑functional environment.Comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to management and collaborators.Willingness to travel occasionally to domestic and international offices in Europe, Israel and the USA.Fluent English language skills, German would be an advantage.Why you should work for KLAJoining KLA means becoming part of a global technology leader in the semiconductor industry, in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
