What you’ll do

• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with automation tooling (GitOps, ArgoCD, Terraform, or similar)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, load balancing, CNI basics)
• Experience supporting distributed systems in production environments
• You are structured, reliable, and calm under pressure. You work well in operational teams, communicate clearly, and take ownership of issues end-to-end.

What you bring

You will join an international team of highly experienced Linux, DevOps, and Kubernetes engineers working across three time zones. The team operates large scale production environments with a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence. The working language of the team is English.

Meet your team

As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer (Gardener / OpenStack) (f/m/d) you will operate and continuously improve a Kubernetes as a Service platform running on OpenStack infrastructure. You will manage platform operations including cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling, patching, and decommissioning using Gardener. You will automate platform workflows using GitOps approaches such as ArgoCD and infrastructure as code tooling. You will support reliability and performance through monitoring, alerting, and capacity management while troubleshooting complex issues across compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes control plane layers. You will collaborate with platform and application teams to enable secure and automated delivery and participate in on call rotation, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
