Senior Finance Manager / Group IFRS & Consolidation

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands‑on senior finance professional who is excited to build structures first and step into a leadership role over time. You will initially build and own IFRS and group consolidation processes from scratch and, once established, grow into a team lead role acting as a key sparring partner to the CFO for strategic planning and controlling.

Must Have

Ability to communicate at B2 Level German.
Expertise in HGB and IFRS.
Ideally worked in a startup environment

Responsibilities

Phase 1 – Build & Own

• Design and implement IFRS‑compliant group accounting and consolidation structures
• Set up month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end consolidation processes
• Define group accounting guidelines, policies, and documentation
• Own intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and group reporting logic
• Drive tooling, system setup, and process automation (incl. SAP environment)
• Act as the main contact for auditors, advisors, and IFRS‑related topics

Phase 2 – Lead & Scale

• Build and lead a Group Accounting / Consolidation team
• Act as the second line to the CFO for strategic planning & controlling
• Support group budgeting, mid‑term planning, and scenario analysis
• Provide management and board‑level insights on group financials

Your profile

• Strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or related field +7 years
• Solid HGB, IFRS and group consolidation expertise (hands‑on experience required)
• Proven experience building or redesigning financial structures
• Comfortable working independently in an initially lean setup
• Natural ownership mindset – you like creating things and building from scratch, not just running them
• Leadership potential and ambition to grow into a team and strategic role
• Fluent in English and German
