Postdoctoral Scientist

Our division uses imaging to optimize new therapies and investigates new radio-tracers. In close cooperation with the Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf, preclinical projects for modeling theranostic applications with alpha-emitting nuclides for breast cancer are planned. Therefore, we are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher with experience in animal models for tumor therapy.

Your Tasks

• Correlation of positron emission tomography imaging with histological analyses in rodent tumor models for breast cancer
• Conducting cell binding studies in vitro and biodistribution studies in vivo with established imaging tracers to quantify molecular targeting
• Using carrier molecules (radioligands) coupled to alpha- and beta-emitting radionuclides to investigate therapeutic effects in these models
• Compliance with radiation protection and animal welfare regulations and communication with the respective authorities, if necessary, for obtaining relevant approvals

Your Profile

• Master's degree and PhD in biology, biochemistry or a related field
• Experience with small animal handling and in vivo experiments
• Experience with in vitro experiments and cell culturing
• Enthusiastic and motivated team player
• Good communicative skills as well as fluency in English
