Principal Product Reliability Engineer

Role Overview

Take the lead in shaping the reliability strategy behind FMC’s revolutionary DRAM+ technology as a Principal Product Reliability Engineer (m/f/d). Partner with world class global reliability labs, customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to qualify and commercialize the next generation of semiconductor memory.

Must Have

• Master or PhD on electrical engineering, physics, microtechnology or comparable
• > 5 years on reliability and/or product engineering for DRAM or NVM products
• Deep knowledge of reliability models for DRAM/NVM products
• Solid background on product design and test
• Solid knowledge on semiconductor technology

Responsibilities

• Translate customer, industry and reliability standard requirements into comprehensive qualification and reliability test plans for FMC’s products at both wafer and component level.
• Drive the development of reliability concepts, qualification methodologies, and test strategies for FMC’s innovative DRAM+ (FerroRAM) technology in close collaboration with internal technology teams, universities, and research partners.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee reliability and qualification testing activities together with FMC’s external test house partners in Taiwan.
• Analyze qualification and reliability test results, investigate failures and lead root-cause analysis in collaboration with technology, product and engineering teams.
• Present and communicate test results, reliability assessments and qualification status to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Prepare comprehensive qualification reports and data packages to support customer product releases and certifications.
• Act as the key point of contact for reliability and qualification topics across cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Support the Quality team during customer audits, certifications and quality-related training activities.

Ideal fit

• excellent communication skills (internal as well towards customers)
• Fluent English, German and/or Mandarin is a plus
• Team player in cross functional teams
