SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsThe Field Application Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of customer qualification, responding to customer queries and visiting the customer to follow up progress. Some key activities will include:Qualifying a customer: Together with the field team obtaining filed acceptance on customer’s sites.Sales support: Providing answers to questions from the customer. Visiting the customer to progress the opportunity through discussion and presentation. Develop information sources: Developing contacts at customers, suppliers, analysts etc that can be used as sources of market or competitor intelligenceProduct development: Suggesting potential upgrade opportunities. Identifying weaknesses in the product based on customer needs Travelling internationally up to 50%Minimum QualificationsUniversity degree in a technology fieldprofessional experience in the engineering field, ideally in a semiconductor industryknowledge of how semiconductors are manufactured, the processing of semiconductors by plasma CVD, PVD or Etch and semiconductor packagingexperience of wafer processing gained at either an equipment vendor or wafer fab would be advantageousenthusiastic personality with a positive attitudeexcellent attention to detailability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines as individualability to work across all levels within the company, and across regionsexcellent communication skills in English, German is an advantageWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
