Senior Golang Developer – Event Technology – Dresden – up to €80k

We are supporting a growing technology company in the events and ticketing sector that is looking for an experienced Senior Golang Developer to join its engineering team.

The company is building and scaling a modern platform that powers events ranging from concerts and cultural events to major festivals and sporting events. This is an opportunity to work on backend systems with real-world scale, while having a genuine influence on architecture, technical direction and engineering practices.

The role

As a Senior Golang Developer, you will play a key role in developing and evolving the company's backend platform. You will work on scalable services and APIs, contribute to architectural decisions and help ensure the platform remains performant, reliable and maintainable as it grows.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs using Go/Golang
• Building reliable systems capable of handling high-volume production workloads
• Contributing to software architecture and making technical decisions
• Improving performance, scalability, stability and overall system quality
• Developing new features in collaboration with Product and Frontend teams
• Refactoring and continuously improving existing services
• Applying Clean Code principles and modern software engineering practices
• Sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of the engineering culture
• Evaluating technologies and approaches that can improve the platform

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong commercial experience with Go/Golang
• Proven experience developing scalable APIs and backend systems
• Strong understanding of software architecture and good engineering practices
• High standards for code quality, maintainability and Clean Code
• Experience with MongoDB or another modern database technology
• Experience working with public cloud platforms
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
• A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to take ownership of technical challenges
• Comfortable contributing to architectural discussions and making technical decisions
• Very good written and spoken German and English
