Are you in?Your RoleKey responsibilities in your new roleValidating analog-mixed-signal microcontroller devices on manufactured hardware through investigating their electrical characteristicsSetup of measurement equipment (hardware) and test program environment (software) for mixed-signal verification of respective expected functionality in a lab environmentPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to define reusable test concepts and automation, drive alignment via technical reviews, and integrate feedbackLeveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GPT/Copilot) test development and documentation; (big plus) building agentic workflows for test generation, execution, triage, and reportingReview existing characterization methodologies and introduce new approaches to improve coverage, robustness and reuseLeading and mentoring junior engineers and supervising studentsYour ProfileQualifications and skills to help you succeedA university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information and Communication Technology (or comparable)Several years of professional experience related to semiconductor test, characterization or product development/validationStrong programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python, MATLAB or similar) with a focus on test/automation in lab environmentsHands-on expertise in electrical measurements and lab test setup to ensure accurate, repeatable measurementsStrong experience with Git-based development, PR-based collaboration and CI/CDConfident using LLM tools (GPT/Copilot) in day-to-day engineering; experience building agentic automation flows is a strong plusNice to have: Exposure to automotive communication protocols and related transceivers; basic ability to support physical-layer and system debugging in the labFluent English skills required; German language skills are beneficial but not mandatoryContact: Felix Krackau#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
